For game studios & publishers
LAN Party Live runs LAN parties, seat by seat. Share your game’s source code with us: we port it, put it on every party on the platform, and you earn a share of every seat it’s played on. Your classic, back on a table full of screens.
Classics whose code went open, on the LAN tonight
Why bring your game
Every weekend, groups of friends haul their PCs to someone’s attic, office or community hall and argue about what to play. We put your game on that list.
A finished game with a working multiplayer mode is the cheapest revenue you’ll ever have. You get a share of every seat at every party it’s played at.
Ancient compilers, DirectX 6, IPX netcode: our problem. We bring it to modern PCs and, where it fits, straight into the browser. No team needed on your side.
Every party gets its own dedicated server, started by the host with one click. You never touch infrastructure, support tickets or patches.
Cover art, credits and a link to your store page, right in the party hub where everyone picks the next game. Remaster coming? This is where the fans are.
LAN parties are where friends hand each other games. Half the room wasn’t born when your classic shipped. One night later, they’re hooked.
Private licence or open source: your call. You approve the port before it goes live, and you can pull your game whenever you want.
How open
Releasing source code publicly is a big step for a studio, so it’s not a condition. Pick the level that fits your game and your lawyers.
The source comes to us and nobody else.
You release the code; the game data stays yours.
Just the dedicated server, as code or a build.
Exclusive
Make LAN Party Live the official home of your game at LAN parties. Exclusive partners get a higher rate, the best spot in every party hub and the first slot in our porting queue.
Founding-partner spots are limited, and the terms you sign now stay yours.
| What you get | Non-exclusive | Exclusive |
|---|---|---|
| Your rate | Standard | Higher |
| In the party hub | In the game list | Featured on top |
| Porting | In the queue | First in line |
| Launch | Listed | Announced as the Official LAN Edition |
| Founding-partner badge | No | Yes, for good |
Exclusive only where it counts: hosted LAN parties. Your own sales, online play, Steam, consoles and remasters stay entirely yours. Open-sourcing your code works too: the official LAN edition, the name and the game data are what’s exclusive.
Revenue share
Hosts pay €9 per seat for their party. A share of that goes to the games that were actually played, weighted by playtime. No guesswork, no flat fee: if they can’t stop playing yours, you earn the most.
Example: 16 seats, 20:00 to 03:00
Your rate is agreed with you before anything goes live, and is higher if you go exclusive. After every party you get a statement: seats, playtime and what it earned.
How it works
Tell us about it with the form below. A title and an email is enough to start.
How open, your rate, what players need. One short licence in plain English, signed before you share a line of code.
We get it running on today’s machines and in the party hub. You play it first, and nothing goes live without your OK.
Hosts add it to their party. Players join with a click. You get a statement after every party it’s played at.

Big studio or solo developer, 1998 or last year: if it has a LAN or local multiplayer mode, we want to hear about it.

FAQ
No. With a private licence the source comes to us only, under NDA, and is never published. Releasing it as open source is an option, not a condition.
You keep every right to your game. What we change to port it is yours to have too: you get our changes, so a remaster or re-release can start from them.
A share of the seat price of every party your game is played at, weighted by how much of the night it was played. We agree the percentage with you before anything goes live, and you get a statement for every party.
The code makes it run, the data (maps, art, sound) makes it your game, so ideally both. If parts are licensed from others, like music, we leave those out or replace them.
Any game with a LAN or local multiplayer mode, old or new, from big studios and solo developers alike. We have already brought games written in C, C++ and Object Pascal to the browser.
Your call. Many classics work best free to play at the party, with a link to your store page right in the hub. If you prefer, only players who own a copy can join.
LAN Party Live becomes the only hosted LAN party service for your game, for a term we agree together. It covers that and nothing else: your own sales, online play, other stores, consoles and remasters stay entirely yours. In return you get a higher rate, featured placement in every party hub and the first slot in our porting queue.
Yes. Tell us and it comes off the platform; parties that are already booked get to finish their night. With an exclusive deal, the exclusivity runs for the term you agreed.
LAN Party Live was born from a simple idea by founder Robert Winters: a year-end LAN party with friends should be about gaming, not organising and hunting down (often buggy) LAN games. When he realised he would miss the annual tradition because he was travelling, he built a platform to automate the logistics so the party could run itself, while still letting him dip in remotely for a game or two. The goal? Less organising, more gaming, and nobody left out.
Somewhere this weekend, a table full of PCs is deciding what to play next. Let’s make it yours.
